In commemoration of the historic centenary of Samastha Kerala Jam'iyyathul Ulama, the expansive educational project ‘Assuffa, Al-Dars Al-Mahalli’ (The Local Lesson) was officially inaugurated globally on Friday, June 19, coinciding with the beginning of the new Hijri year. This monumental launch took place simultaneously across more than 8,000 local units (Mahalls) worldwide, representing a massive coordinated effort to promote classical Islamic learning and scholarly connection on an international scale.

The primary objective of this initiative is to engage over 500,000 participants across 30 countries in specialized Hadith studies. The curriculum centers on the text ‘Al-Wajiz fi Hady al-Nabi al-Mahbub’ (The Concise Guide to the Guidance of the Beloved Prophet), authored by the Grand Mufti of India, Shaikh Abu Bakr Ahmed. Comprising an introduction, 30 detailed chapters, and a conclusion that explores the Prophet’s character and traditions, the book will be studied systematically under the direct guidance of more than 8,000 certified educators authorized by the Mufti.

This educational journey will culminate in a grand valedictory ceremony scheduled from the 28th to the 31st at Wadi Haramain in Malappuram, Kerala. During this concluding event of the centenary celebrations, participants will gather in the presence of the Grand Mufti to formally finalize the text. Successful students will be awarded their traditional chains of transmission (Sanad) and scholarly certifications (Ijazat).
